Melody and Oscar recently moved to Colorado from Virginia. They wanted to celebrate their new engagement by taking photos at Chautauqua Park. This is one of Boulder’s most popular parks to photograph engagements. Chautauqua Park is a great location for Boulder engagement photos due to it being centrally located in within town and it has an easy to access parking lot. I absolutely love the photos you get at this location at sunset! I was super excited that Oscar and Melody wanted to have their engagement session here. We had so much fun prancing around the field and getting a variety of photos to match their playfulness.

After we spent some time shooting at Chautauqua we decided to drive up flagstaff mountain to take some photos at Lost Gulch Overlook. This another popular location for Boulder engagement sessions. It offers views of the rockies and the town. It also has some of the most beautiful sunsets and overall just has amazing lighting. I love combining these two locations for photoshoots because it adds so much variety to my couples galleries. If you are planning on coming to Boulder for your engagement session I would recommend planning to go to both locations.
